Before I Go To Sleep Tonight

I wanted to report that, after I dropped the kids off, I finished about another 1000 words on the sequel to The Prodigal Troll, which is big, because on Sunday nights I usually just crash. This has been the loooongest project ever, but I'm pretty close to blogging some snippets from the opening chapters.

All the major stuff at the day job is done, and my boss is taking the week off, so it will be low pressure. The weather's supposed to be gorgeous, so my pre-writing walks every night are all set. This is going to be a big week for work on the novel, and incorporating all the problem-fixing I sorted out at Blue Heaven.

I'm excited.

Heh! You're talking to the queen of false starts, as you very well know .. *ggg*

But it's not how you start, it's how you finish. You brought in a great finish with PT, you'll do it again with the sequel. Do you remember the sample chapter I put up on the original workshop, the one that got the Editor's Choice? Well, that formed the basis of the trilogy I just sold to Voyager, book 1 of which I'm writing now. It's killing me, btw. *g* Hardest Writing Ever. Talk about your false starts ...

But it's getting there, I'm getting there, and so are you Getting There.

Go Charlie!

Aw, thanks!

It'd be nice to have a new book done by the middle of the summer, but I'm going to have to be productive almost every day to do it.

Middle of summer, huh? Lessee...*struggles with basic math for a moment* That means averaging 1400 words/day on the weekdays, 2500/day on the weekends. Easy-schmeasy.

Woohoo! Can't wait to read that one...really I was looking for it at Barnes and Noble and WD had to set me straight. Guess I missed the posts about it. Happy writing!

There's nothing quite like a fired-up Charlie.

I once got grounded for two months for firing up a Charlie when my parents were home.
